EVOLUTION High
Resolution Ink Jet Printers have become the industry standard in low cost,
high resolution ink jet printing and
are used on countless productions lines for product identification. This
"standard" is now available in a portable, hand-held, battery operated
printer that can be used in place of manually applied labels or hand stenciling operations.
Complete System: As with all of our EVOLUTION printers, the Hand-Held model is supplied complete and ready to use right out of the box. The system includes a hand held controller with tactile keypad for message entry and a printhead module with internal product sensor that is attached to long lasting rechargeable battery pack with chargers and cushioned vertical grip. The printhead module is adjustable and can print at a variety of angles.
Inkjet Technology by Hewlett Packard: Designed and manufactured by Digital Design, the EVOLUTION Hand-Held is powered by inkjet technology from Hewlett Packard. This combination gives you the benefits of a compact and efficient design coupled with the reliability of printhead technology by Hewlett Packard.
Optimum Print Resolution: EVOLUTION delivers bold, highly legible and fully formed characters in a print resolution of 300dpi at speeds up to 300 feet per minute.
Rechargeable
Battery Pack: A 12 volt battery pack supplies the printer with enough
energy to operate the system for up to 12 hours. Recharging is
accomplished with either a 12VDC automobile charger or a 120VAC wall outlet
charger. Both charger types are supplied with the system.
Printhead Adjustability: The printhead module is adjustable and can print at a variety of angles. This adjustability also allow the battery pack to be rotated out of the way for printing close to the bottom of a carton or pallet.
Ink Supply: Built into the printhead is a 42cc ink reservoir. Once the ink in the cartridge is depleted, it can be taken out, disposed of and a new ink cartridge inserted in just minutes.
Your Choice of Systems: The EVOLUTION Hand-Held can be supplied with either the EVOLUTION I or I I printing systems. The choice is yours depending on your printing requirements.
The EVOLUTION I can print a one line message in 1/2” characters or two lines of text with the 7/32” high characters. Selecting the character size is accomplished through the font key on the hand held controller. Optional style fonts and character sizes are available. Optional Software Packages that add features such as message storage, roll over date coding, sequential numbering can be added as well. These Optional Packages are described in more detail on the reverse.
The EVOLUTION I I is a fully featured system. Standard character heights are 1/2” for one line of print, 7/32” for two lines, 1/8” for three lines and 3/32” will print a four line message. All of the optional software packages that can be used in EVOLUTION I are standard in this system.
Both systems are capable of printing graphics or logos. These can be supplied by your distributor as an option.
